Yes — 5/8″ is the better choice for driveways. It provides more stability under vehicle loads than 3/8″ and drains well in Texas rain events. Install at 4–6 inches deep for best performance. For heavy traffic, consider flex base as a compacted base layer underneath.
Does pea gravel prevent weeds?
